Built accessible from day one
KeenClimb meets WCAG 2.2 AA across all three apps. Accessibility is not a feature we added later — it is part of how every component was designed.
What we support
Touch targets
All interactive elements meet or exceed the minimum 44px touch target across every age mode.
Focus visible
Keyboard focus indicator is always visible — we never use outline: none without a visible replacement.
Colour contrast
Minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for all text. We never rely on colour alone to convey meaning.
Screen readers
aria-live regions for all dynamic content, aria-label on every icon-only button, landmark roles throughout.
Reduced motion
All animations respect prefers-reduced-motion. Children with vestibular conditions are not forgotten.
Skip links
Every page has a visible skip-to-content link for keyboard and assistive technology users.
Five support profiles — no labels needed
Parents choose comfort settings from the dashboard. Each profile changes both the interface design and the lesson pacing. Nothing is stored as a diagnosis.
Focus support
High contrast, minimal clutter
Reading support
Dyslexia-friendly font, line height
Calm mode
Soft colors, slow animations
Motor-friendly
Large touch targets
Low vision
High contrast and larger text
Fully keyboard accessible
- Tab through all interactive elements in logical order
- Enter or Space to activate buttons and links
- Escape to close modals and drawers
- Arrow keys for radio groups and sliders
- All drag interactions have a tap or keyboard alternative
No interaction requires precision drag
Every drag-and-drop interaction in lessons has a motor_fallback alternative. Children can tap to select and tap to place instead of dragging. This satisfies WCAG 2.5.7 (Dragging Movements).
